Andrew James Abajian is a hybrid fine art wedding, humanitarian, fashion photographer, and film maker. He has a passion for mixing both digital and traditional film mediums in order to tell stories from all over the world. Andrew believes that photography, at it’s core, is a journalistic art form. He feels that he is capturing a single moment in time, and that his videography should always be shot like it’s a timeless piece of art. This is always in the forefront of his mind while he’s working, as he always aims to achieve this approach. Over the past 3 years, he has had the opportunity to create many inspiring, beautiful, and personal films. From commemorating weddings to filming high fashion brands and travelling overseas to document humanitarian work, each story inspires him to strive for a finished film that reflects his personal goals for quality and uniqueness.

Andy was raised near the ocean on the Big Island of Hawaii by a musician and a photographer. He has spent the last 10 years working as a songwriter, recording artist, and touring musician-for-hire. He assisted his wife for several years as a photographer with Julie Harmsen Photography, and discovered a passion in expressing his creativity through the visual transcription of romance. He wants to provide couples with a wedding video that they’re not embarrassed or self-conscious watching, but EXCITED to watch, over and over again. He loves to work with photographers and compliment the beautiful still images with a choreographic map of the day. Some couples remember the flurry of events that transpire on a wedding day, but rarely are one’s memories more than fragmented snap-shots generated by the photographs we review. He is excited to create moving pictures that assist in retaining living memories.
