Hey friends, I’m Emilie, the artist behind Emilie Belle Paperie & Illustration!
I’ve been running my illustration business for four years. What started as a favorite hobby turned into a side gig, and then became a full-time business. Botanical illustration is my passion, and I never ever get tired of drawing florals. Alongside freelance projects, I also run an online shop on Etsy.
I avoided framing my prints for a very long time but lately, customers have been inquiring about purchasing my art prints framed. Originally, framing seemed way too daunting. From finding a professional printer who could capture all the detail, texture, and intricacy of my art; to the final quality frame I could be proud of having my art in and presenting to a client - it all was a lot to consider.
I also wanted to make sure the frames I found matched my style, were high quality, and made in the USA. Throw in packaging and shipping, and it was just too much for an artist’s brain, you feel me?!
But after seeing a demand for finished art, I felt the need to take my offerings to the next level but had no clue where to begin.
When I found Design Aglow’s Framed Prints Service for framing art on fine art paper, I was really excited to give it a try. Ordering all my prints at a wholesale price and having them to arrive framed, assembled and ready to go sounded PERFECT. They can even drop-ship to my clients for no extra charge. I’m loving that option!
I think it’s so important to see your frame art as a complete art piece and I was so impressed with the style options. Design Aglow delivers affordable, tasteful, and versatile options. I personally love the modern, yet rustic Laurelhurst frames, and went with the espresso finish to bring a nice contrast to my detailed drawings.
I chose to frame an acrylic painting print I sell in its original size, 24x30 inches, along with 11x14 and two 10x10’s illustrations. The À La Carte framed print options made it so easy to select what I wanted and build my own gallery. The prearranged wall galleries called Grab & Go Collections were super helpful and inspirational.
When I received my frames, (and did my happy dance) I was so pleased to find how much care went into the packaging. I could tell as I opened the packages how professionally they were packaged, and it made me feel really confident about drop-shipping directly to clients. The fact that they are produced with real hardwood in Portland, Oregon instead an overseas factory is also a win for me.
I was so excited to see the quality of the finished art. I chose the Premium Archival Matte for my print paper, and the print quality was amazing. Not only did it highlight all my intricate black and white detailed strokes beautifully, but it also captured all the soft colors and bold textures of my paint print. I was so happy to see this, as many other attempts with other printing services didn’t impress me much with quality like this.
The frame backs are finished with professional backing paper and are surprisingly lightweight which made for easy transport and display.
As an artist, offering framed art is such an important step in my business. Both in professionalism and profitability, I’m excited to incorporate Design Aglow’s frames as the final touch for my pieces whether it be for art shows, displays on my online shop or offering finished pieces directly to my customers.
I look forward to using these frames to elevate my prints and to show customers how framing takes their artwork to the next level._________________________
