Top Ten Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Valentine's Day is behind us and the next major gift giving holiday is quite a ways away. But that doesn't mean you can't upsell products from family, maternity, and newborn sessions to the person who possibly loves those images most: Mom. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12th (in the U.S.) and is the perfect opportunity to get a few extra fun and sentimental products into your clients' hands and hearts. At your upcoming order sessions, bring up the idea of gifts to the other decision making adult while Mom is MIA for a second. Parents love the idea of gift giving, and having the perfect products readily available for them (so they don't have to do the hard work) makes it that much easier!

Here are a few hits we recommend adding to your vault:
1. Ashley Campbell shows us how she transformed the Interactive Keepsake Album and Free Speech Photo Overlays into a Father's Day tear jerker. Use this tutorial to make a Mother's Day version (and hey...Father's Day is in June, right? *wink wink*)
2. 70 Reasons to Love Me
3. Happy Days Calendar Collection
4. Home is Where the Art Is
5. Dry Erase Memo Boards: Artful Thoughts
6. Album Templates: Children's ABC Book
7. Accordion Mini Albums: Itty Bitty Baby Books (can also be used for kids or families!)
8. Poetry & Beauty
9. The Show Off
10. Play Date Cards: Tea & Sweets

And then the reality of making a living at it started to creep in, and you became bound to jobs you didn’t really want to do, because you needed the money. We’ve been there, and yep, it stinks.

Here’s a saying we find really annoying: “do what you love, and the money will follow. Umm, nope. If we asked every photographer out there if they are working hard, they would say yes. But if we asked every photographer out there if they are raking in the big bucks, many would say no.
