showcase new products with a designed party!

We LOVE getting fan shares that utilize multiple Design Aglow products. We always try to make our products as compatible as possible with others so that the possibilities for what you can create are endless. In this instance, it was essentially a party showcasing 5 of our designs! Jessie of J.Passon Artistic Portraiture shares, "I love to go all out, for my clients and my family. The last couple of years I have planned a celebration that combines a double birthday party for my daughters and a client open house--as a way to have fun with my clients, thank them and show them new products. When planning the party the first place I always go is to my Design Aglow files. The party theme this time was a carnival filled with shades of pink and orange. Doubling as a product example and decoration to the party I set up mounted 8x10 prints of my daughters, using the Kiss and Tell Borders, on easels at various tables. For all of the game signs, the iron on letters and numbers for the shirts my daughters wore, the menu, and labels for goody bags I used a particular border from the Kiss and Tell Borders set combined with one of my favorite elements of the Text Accessories. The border and text accessory were a cinch to customize to my desired colors which helped make the entire look of my party consistent. Some of the new products I am adding to my studio this year are a coffee table book, presentation box and story board. I made samples of the products from various shoots I had done of my daughters over the 2 months prior to the party. I used the Modern Family Album, the Secret Treasures Photo Presentation Box templates along with mounted 8x10 prints featuring the Kiss and Tell Borders. I also used the Endless Possibilities templates for a storyboard sample. In some of the pictures you can also see a canvas on the wall that used the Larger than Life templates. Clients raved about the decorations and the new products that are now available this year. Thanks again for helping me make my daughters' birthday party and client open house a huge success!"
Thanks so much for sharing Jessie! Enjoy your $75 gift certificate to the shop!

I’ve been taking photographs ever since I can remember, but once I entered the world of wedding photography I felt the need to really understand my gear. Once you really learn your tools, you can worry less about the technical side and focus on putting your vision into that single frame. I feel the faster I can work, and the more intuitively I know my equipment, the more creative I can be. Wedding photography can make you a pro really fast. I think that artistic pressure is what drove me towards it.

As a lifelong fine artist, I didn’t fall in love with photography until post-college. I was a graphic design major who landed a non-creative position in the industry. Upon searching for a creative outlet, and being the hopeless romantic that I am, I discovered wedding photography and was immediately hooked. I poured everything I had into learning the medium so that I could eventually start my own business, which happened a couple of years later in 2012 — also the year I was married.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Portland, but catering to clients across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. As a child, I never imagined that I would pursue photography. I didn’t even own a DSLR until I was 21! However, I remember the day I decided I wanted to learn the ins and outs of photography. I used my college textbook money to buy my first Canon Rebel from Craigslist. I was jumping up and down with joy and scratching my head at the same time because I knew photography would not be simply a hobby.
