The Feel Good Collection - Photo Presentation Boxes

image portfolio boxes for photoshop and indesign - feel good collection Hello and welcome to The Feel Good Collection of Photo Presentation Boxes.  Please take a moment to read this important information about your product. FONTS: In order to maintain the look of the templates you will need to have the same fonts installed on your system as the ones we used in the design. The fonts used for this set are: Windsong Remington Noiseless Kravitz American Typewriter Georgia However, if you have a particular font you use for your studio marketing material, we recommend using it. The fonts we use in our designs are usually freeware or shareware fonts available for free on the internet.  We cannot include the fonts in your download because they are protected under copyright.  However you can download them directly from their creators.   We find that if you type in the name of the font into your favorite search engine you will come up with several download sources. USING THE ACTION TO INSERT YOUR IMAGES (IN PHOTOSHOP): 1. Open one of the PSD page layouts. 2. Load the “INSERT_IMAGES.atn” from your download folder (location: FEEL_GOOD_COLLECTION->ACTIONS ->PHOTOSHOP_ACTIONS) into Photoshop, and run the action that corresponds to the number of images on the file you have open (INSERT ONE IMAGE, INSERT FOUR IMAGES, etc).  The action will stop along the way and give instructions on how to proceed. You will resize the images on the fly when the action pauses. 3. Your images will now be inserted and the template will be ready to save. USING THE ACTIONS TO INSERT YOUR IMAGES (IN PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS): 1. Open one of the PSD page layouts. 2. Load the .atn and .png files from the “PSE_ACTIONS” in your download folder (location: FEEL_GOOD_COLLECTION->ACTIONS ->PSE_ACTIONS) into Photoshop Elements, and run the action that corresponds to the number of images on the file you have open (INSERT ONE IMAGE, INSERT FOUR IMAGES, etc). (Click here to learn how to add and run actions in PSE.) The action will stop along the way and give instructions on how to proceed. You will resize the images on the fly when the action pauses. 3. Your images will now be inserted and the template will be ready to save. Inserting One Image At A Time: If you would like to insert the images one-by-one you may use the “INSERT ONE IMAGE” action located at the bottom of the actions. Make sure your PSD file is open and select the IMAGE LAYER of the space you would like to populate with your image. Play the “INSERT ONE IMAGE” action and follow instructions along the way. This action is convenient when you need to switch out an image or insert the images in another order. INSERTING IMAGES BY HAND: Inserting your own images into the templates is very easy.  Perform the following steps: 1. Select the image layer you would like to populate in your LAYERS palette. (Likely called “IMAGE LAYER”) 2. Open your image and drag it onto the template using your MOVE tool (Keyboard shortcut “V”) 3.  Click on the tiny black triangle in top right of your LAYERS palette to pull up the drop-down menu and choose “Create Clipping Mask”. 4.  Use the FREE TRANSFORM tool (Keyboard shortcut Control+T) and drag in the corners of your image to position it correctly within the frame.  Remember to hold SHIFT while you drag to constrain the proportions. 5. Press Enter to apply the transformation. Repeat this step with any subsequent images. CHANGING COLORS: Changing the color of the design elements and background is very simple.  Here's how: 1.  Choose the design element layer or background layer in the Layers palette.  If you cannot see the Layers palette, click the “Window” drop-down menu at the top of your screen and choose “Layers”. 2.  Now, double-click the small box of color next to the name of the layer. 3.  Choose the new color when the dialog box appears. 4.  Click “OK”. PRINTING YOUR ALBUM: We have designed these templates to be used with Finao's ( www.finaoonline.com ) line of Image Portfolio Boxes.  If you currently use Finao the templates are 100% ready to go.  Don't worry, however, if you use another lab as the album can be printed easily with your favorite printer.  Remember that each lab is different, so be absolutely sure that you contact them for their specs and color profiles prior to submitting your files.  When you have your lab's sizing and submission guidelines, you will need to transfer the designs to their templates before printing them.

Hi! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What was your road like to becoming a photographer?

Hello! I am a portrait photographer based south of Boston, MA. My passion is capturing mothers and their growing families. Maternity and newborn portraits are the foundation of my business, and I also capture baby milestones, children, and families. Fun fact: I returned the diamond earrings my husband bought me for our first Christmas as a married couple to buy a digital camera.

When I was in college, I had a friend who was a professional photographer. The first time I went to her home, I walked in to find stunning photographs of her children on the walls.

There was a huge canvas in their living room and a creative photo display in the main hallway. I remember being so moved by the beauty of those images, thinking to myself, “I want to create images like this!” I bought myself a DSLR as a graduation present, learned photography from online courses and started my photography business about a year later.

I am beyond grateful I get to photograph intimate destination weddings and elopements all over the world. Besides traveling for photography work, exploring new places with my husband has become a big part of our marriage and something we want to continue for the rest of our lives. My husband’s grandparents are our biggest idols. They have spent over 50 years married, traveling the world together, continuing to explore new places together. Their passion for traveling has led them to occasionally taking their entire family on vacation, most often to an exotic beach of their choice; a tradition we hope to be able continue one day in their honor.
