This is such a fun idea…reminds me of the excitement of getting new school supplies each fall and wanting to fill those beautiful notebooks with all sorts of magic! Look at this journal page and the images that came from it, wow!
Heather Boyles shares, “As artists, we find inspiration all around us. At times that inspiration is realized in our images, other times that inspiration gets lost. I wanted a place to organize my thoughts and develop ideas so I started an ‘inspiration journal.’ In my journal I paste images that inspire me, locations I want to use, quotes that speak to my heart and other ramblings. I find that journaling feeds my creative soul and keeps my love of photography alive. The journal entries are often a work-in-progress. Here I am sharing one journal entry that I’ve worked on over the past month. I started with a snap shot of a field I admired and the concept grew from there. I shopped for the perfect clothing and decided how I wanted the shots to look. The final images often take on a life of their own but I always appreciate the journey. I highly recommend starting your own inspiration journal!”
