Today’s share comes from Sarah of SLM Photography. She writes, “I brought the Simple Traditional 8 Page Brochure template into Photoshop and changed the colors. My business colors are red white and black, so the change was really easy. I used the verbiage as a foundation, and then added, subtracted, and tweaked what I wanted to say, and to what fit my business model. I changed the fonts around to fonts that I use a lot in my marketing materials. I imported my favorite images, making sure that they all fit the style and color scheme. Lastly, I proofed the heck out of the brochure for spelling and punctuation errors.
My normal potential client packets consisted of five 8×10 thick matte sheets of paper with info and images. Those were put into a folder with a few other postcards, a magnet, and a contract. Going to Kinkos periodically to get those five sheets printed was not only expensive ($6.00 per five sheets) but also was pretty time consuming. I was in love with the idea of creating an all in one brochure to replace the 5 info sheets. One that would be really professional looking, and one that would catch clients attention and make them remember me.
I was drawn to this particular design because of the circle pattern. The geometric design is sleek, simple, and modern, which are some of the words that I use to describe my own business. I thought it was a perfect fit. I love how simple it is to change things around. Adding my own images was a snap. It was really fun to customize this template and be able to see the final product. In the end I had the brochure printed at CopyCraft as a 8 page brochure, bound, on upgraded paper. The brochures were shipped to my house, and I absolutely love them!”
Thanks for the great share, Sarah! Your $75 gift certificate is on the way~
