Time for another fabulous project from our do-it-yourself diva, Ashley Campbell. Enjoy!
Have you read the recent Social Media Handbook release? In current society it is obvious the social media can have a tremendous impact on your business. While you work to create an online presence for your studio it is also important to continue to build trusted relationships with local vendors in your community. This month’s idea is a simple way to extend your social media identity beyond just online. Most likely the vendors you work with are familiar with your Facebook, email and twitter accounts. If you’ve created a custom look using the Get Noticed Social Media Bundle, you can surprise your vendors with a sweet treat that reflects your online identity.
Supplies:
Small gift boxes (can be purchased at most craft and party supply stores)
CD envelopes
Full Sheet Adhesive Paper (can be purchases at most office supply stores)
Baker’s twine and/or ribbon
Cookies…big & small from a trusted bakery
You can create your treat labels using the same templates you have used for your social media accounts. Keep in mind that the resolution is smaller for the online templates. I suggest using the same background, but re-creating the text and images at a higher resolution. The designs do not need to be large, but you want your business contact information to be sharp enough to read. You might also add the images in at a higher resolution than what you used online. Copy and paste your designs onto an 8.x5x11 page. Print the designs on the adhesive paper and the cut out.
Line the gift box with a decorative napkin or tissue paper and add the cookies. You can use the label to seal the box shut. I added baker’s twine and ribbon for a more decorative look.
Individually wrap your cookies with plastic wrap. I used a bit of colored tape to hold it shut. Insert the cookie into the cd envelope and seal shut with twine and the label.
Have fun surprising your local vendors or clients with the personal touch of an unexpected sweet treat!
