Get ready for some gift wrapping fun that’s sure to make a lasting impression from our resident do-it-yourself diva, Ashley Campbell.

Ashley writes:

Whether you’ve been shopping for gifts all year or have waited until these last few weeks, soon you are going to need to do some wrapping. Every gift seems to be a bit more special and thought out when it is wrapped in a beautiful way. To add a extra bit of color and uniqueness to my packages I used the Holiday Headlines, Vintage Greetings, Hand Drawn Frames – Pen & Ink Collection, and I Want It All – DVD Cover templates to create custom gift tags.

The process is very simple…
Step 1: Create an 8.5×11 document in Photoshop
Step 2: Cut and paste sections from the templates that you want to use for gift tags onto your 8.5×11 document. Replace the text with “To” and “From”.
Here is an image of what my four 8.5×11 pages looked like (they are shown together only for sharing here, I printed them as 4 individual pages)

Step 3: Print your 8.5×11 pages onto cardstock or Full Sheet Adhesive paper (for those that you want to stick on). The adhesive paper can be found at most office supply stores. It is the same thing as label paper, only it fills the entire page instead of numerous little labels.

Step 4: Cut your labels out using a paper cutter or sharp scissors. For rounded edges you can use a corner punch or use your scissors to follow the outline of the labels.

Step 5: Once you have all of your labels cut out you can gather up packaging supplies and start creating beautifully wrapped gifts.
