Today’s fan share comes from Melanie of Melanie Ashcraft Photography. She writes, “I knew I wanted to use the Cotton Candy Announcements (Style 5) for my Christmas promo mailer, but the layout wasn’t quite fitting what I wanted. So I took the announcement and made the top right and bottom left corner longer, to fit more of a family/sibling shot. Then had the top left corner and bottom right corner fit just a single shot. It’s sometimes hard for us Southern Texans to think of sweaters and heavy clothing during these months, so I left it more of a light feeling, instead of going with images with sweaters, and green/red coloring. For the swirl design in the middle, I sampled the yellow in one of the dresses. For the back I used the Finishing Touch Borders (Border 5) and created a frame for the promo text. I used a color overlay and changed them to a green to help pop the border. I had these printed in a pearl finish to really help give them the elegant feel I wanted portrayed.
I love this product because I went in a completely different direction than originally planned, and I loved the end result. It gave the feeling I was going for, and it looks absolutely fantastic. I love how universal Design Aglow products are, and once again, I was extremely pleased with my result. I’ve heard wonderful compliments about these promo cards, and one thing that has been said again and again…the design is beautiful. Thank you Design Aglow for yet another FANTASTIC product!!”
