Today’s share comes from Melissa of Melissa Lyn Photography. I pulled some design elements from the Cotton Candy Birth Announcements to create the cover of this 5×7 metal tin that I use to hold clients proofs from their session. It’s an awesome way to deliver their proof set in a simple, modern way. It’s so unique and my clients are stunned when they pick up their order. I also just barley tweaked the colors on the For Collectors of Art & Style CD & DVD Cases to match this particular clients session for her disc of images. I also used the Cotton Candy Birth Announcements again to create a custom CD & DVD case for some of my newborn clients. Since these discs were for the same client, I wanted the discs to coordinate and not be exactly the same. I loved how it turned out!
The Cotton Candy Announcements are so versatile that you can use them for just about anything. They are simple, elegant and modern all at the same time and I love that I can use the design elements for all sorts of projects. On top of creating these DVD cases, I’ve used them for storyboards as well! I use the For Collectors of Art & Style CD & DVD Cases all the time when creating discs for clients who purchase a collection. Sometimes I mix and match the patterns to better fit the design layout and I always try and tweak the colors to coordinate with their session.
As I said above, my client’s mouth was practically on the floor when I delivered her proof set to her in person. She said that it was so unique and unexpected and that she’d never seen anything like that before. And she loved how her DVD case coordinated with her session. The colors matched so perfectly.
