Today’s share comes from Andi of 2A Photography. She writes, “I want every senior I shoot to feel like a rock-star. She’ll hear me say “gorge!” (short for gorgeous) and she’ll laugh. Those are guarantees. But really, my fundamental goals are to make sure that she feels special, and that the entire session is an experience that she and her mama will remember. I have several things that I do to make sure that I’m creating an experience and reaching the senior girl and her mama (or dad or grandma, etc.) at the same time, but Design Aglow products have really helped me to re-define my approach to marketing products to my senior clients.
By combining elements from different products I can give each girl a “collection” that is completely unique. Seniors love “stuff” and they love that their stuff isn’t like their friends’ stuff. I live in a small town and shoot several seniors from the same school. I want each client to have something special, and Design Aglow helps me achieve that in such an easy way. Plus the products are so gorgeous that they are shown off–which is 90% of my marketing plan!
Multiple products with the same central design give a cohesiveness to my collections, and it ensures that the senior families are able to show off the images in the way they like, too. For Ellie, I used a Visual Poetry mini-accordion as the basis for an entire collection that included accordions, a large album, custom announcements and 411 cards. For Katelyn I started with the Fleur Book and used elements from that album to re-size and create all of her other items (cards, 411s, accordion, parent album). I use Millers for most of my products, but the shape of the announcement that matches the Fluer album is from WHCC; Millers has a similar “leaf” shape in a 3×3 size that is great for gift tag enclosures or 411s.”
Thanks for the share, Andi! Your $75 gift certificate is on the way~
