Today’s share comes to us from Melanie of Melanie Ashcraft Photography. She writes, “I wanted to make something as a thank you for my client, and wanted to include some of her favorite photos of her daughter from the session. I absolutely love the Finishing Touch Borders, and the Fleur Book, so I knew I had to think of something to do with those products. My client said she has a buffet that she has a lot of pictures on. So I figured I would do something that she could easily display, either in a frame or easel, and not feel she’s taking up tons of room.
I used a page from the Fleur Book with four image spaces and then added flourishes from one of the Finishing Touch Borders to create a frame around them. I then added a color overlay and pulled the color from her dress for the frame color. I also added a stroke around the photos using the same color, to help the flourish frames and the shape of the image places stand out. I had it mounted on 2mm styrene to add that additional durability, and give it that added classy feel.
I love this product because I was able to use some fabulous items from different products to create a sweet, and simple way of saying thank you, without leaving the client wondering what to do with it. It’s small enough to display on an easel, but it’s easy to frame as well. I’m excited to be able to give this to my client as thank you gifts are never expected, but they always love.”
