This months design project from Ashley Campbell is sure to get your creativity flowing. Check it out!
From Ashley:
The time for trick or treating is quickly approaching. Chances are you will have plenty of opportunities to share a few treats with young and old alike. From parties to festivals to old fashioned door to door knocking the fall provides numerous ways for you to creatively market your studio. This month I want to share some very simple, quick to make ideas for how you can turn passing out candy into strategic marketing.
Below are a few examples of how I used various Design Aglow products to add a little flair to my candy…and notice I added my studio website.
Here I used Alphabet Bling and Learning Curve Pro font:
This is the Style 5 Front from the Tree Art Collection and Honey Script font. I changed the colors to match the Pixy Stix I would be tying it to.
Below are the Alphabet Frames & Style 6 Front of the Trend Alert cards…colors changed to feel more like fall. The typewriter font is Splendid66.
Once I set up all my designs I printed the circles & typewriters on cardstock and the font designs on basic printer paper.
Using a 1.5 inch circle punch I cut out each circle, punched a small hole in the top and tied it to the candy using baker’s twine.
To make flags for the suckers I cut out each design, wrapped it around the stick, and glued the paper together using a glue stick. I also trimmed the ends to form two points.
My final project was creating a small card to attach to mini Oreos. You could use this idea for all kinds of larger items. After printing the design, I trimmed the edges and attached it to the cookies using decorative duck tape.
Ideas for places to pass out your ‘marketing’ candy:
*Your studio
*Children’s fall parties
*Fall parades
*Your neighborhood (or business district)
*Fall festivals
*Create a bowl full and deliver to local businesses
