After starting a blog in 2004 simply to keep in touch with family and friends, Tara Whitney soon found her photographs gaining notice from mothers across the nation. Her business has since snowballed into a successful career. Known for her fresh, happy family images, Tara dares to go beyond traditional poses and styles to find the authenticity of her subjects. She prefers to capture her clients in a casual and oftentimes quirky manner, typically following along while they laugh and play together. Living and working in Orange County, Tara counters the sameness of everything by creating images that are far from uniform and that allow every person she photographs to feel unique.
