Being self-taught in photography doesn’t mean unschooled. In six surprisingly short years, Mindy Harris’ practical and technical knowledge came from much practice and study. “When I first got my camera, I looked up any bit of information I could find about camera settings, aperture, and shutter speed. I spent a lot of time informing myself.” While photography started as just a fun thing to do, she says, “Inspiration and motivation are two intangible qualities that bring everything else into line.” Mindy lives and photographs in sunny Los Angeles, CA.
