Though she wasn’t doing much with the styling end when she got started, Amy ultimately produced images that reflects her
dynamic signature style. Now Wenzel is so much happier for taking the necessary control in order to produce the sort of photographs she wants to produce. While styling comes naturally to Amy, she’s really begun to perfect her skill over the past couple of years, coming into her own in being able to translate what’s in her head to the images she takes. “If you have the style, you learn to develop and master your craft.” Having a niche where one can focus and become the best at one or two things, as opposed as being a best- of-everything type photographer—the Jack of all trades, master of none, is wise advice. “Choose what you love to do and become the best at what you love.” Amy Wenzel, a creative portrait and commercial photographer, has been in photography for five years and operates Amy Wenzel Photography from home, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She specializes in photography of babies, children, pregnancy, family, senior girls and fashion related commercial projects.
