engage your readers with magazine style blog boards

Clients love to be in the spotlight, whether you're bragging about them on Facebook or Blogging their special photos. Why not take it to the next level by using these blog boards to make them feel even more special with an editorial style? Nicole of Nicole Taylor Photography shares, "The Blog & Print Inspiration Boards: Magazine Style are so interesting and engaging! I went back and forth on purchasing this but knew I wanted a change.  I needed something different for my blog to help me shape it and engage readers more. I had an engagement session I was about to blog and at the last minute purchased this template knowing this was a step I wanted to take. I emailed my bride an "urgent" email informing her I needed quotes from her and her fiance. She was on the ball and I had them by the end of the day, just as I was finishing up the last layout. I went back through and incorporated their quotes along with my own favorite love quotes into the layout.

As someone who is lucky to blog twice a month because of how time consuming it is - these easy templates have sparked a fire under my tush to blog. So now I'm going through current and some old sessions that I never blogged and am working on their "magazine spreads." It's become a fun little project for me!

I have had an overwhelming response from readers. Everyone LOVES the magazine layout style of the post and my own personal touches with the images. It was most certainly a move I needed to make and I'm glad I did!

Thank you for sharing Nicole! Enjoy your $75 gift certificate to the shop!

Do you feel overworked and underpaid? Does it pain you to deliver digital images...but no album or wall portraits? Do you believe in tangible products, but don't think your market can support higher priced items?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above, you're not alone and there IS a solution:In-Person Sales. There's no limit to how much more money you can make by providing IPS instead of online sales or shoot & burn. Or how many hours you'll save because you'll be able to shoot fewer sessions to generate the same revenue. Or how many hours of sleep you'll get because you won't be worrying about money.

The iPhone camera is an incredibly powerful tool. After learning a few basics, you can start practicing your own skills with what I like to call a “creative exercise régime.” First of all, l always hold my phone horizontally with two hands. I form a "C" with my left thumb and forefinger and tuck the phone into it so it rests on my hand with my middle finger holding it up along the back. Then with my right hand I form a similar backwards C with the phone against the palm of my hand and use my right thumb to take the picture. By having a steady hold on the phone, I eliminate shake. The result is a sharper image.

The trip fell during the first few days of spring, and we all dreamed of warmer weather and a nice change of scenery! Our trip started on a Friday and ended the following Monday, but despite it’s brevity, it was an amazing experience!
